Manonmaniam Sundaranar University is a university in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It was hived off the Madurai Kamaraj University on September 7, 1990..The motto of the University is “In Pursuit of Excellence”. This University is named after the famous Tamil Scholar Professor Manonmaniam Sundaram Pillai.
