The university is affiliated by the UGC, DEC, AICTE-UGC-DEC JOINT COMMITTEE. The university is covered in many acre areas in Salem district. The university is covering many different colleges which are situated in many different districts of Tamil Nadu states. The districts in which these colleges are Salem, Karaikal,Pondicherry and Chennai.
