GATE 2016 Result, GATE Scorecard, Cutoff Marks and Analysis
Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur announced the results for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. GATE 2016 is a national level examination that tests the comprehensive understanding of the candidates in various undergraduate subjects in Engineering/Technology/Architecture and post-graduate level subjects in Science. The score achieved in GATE Exam will enable the candidates for admissions to post-graduate programs (eg. M.E., M.Tech, direct Ph.D.) in Indian institutes of higher education with financial assistance provided by MHRD and other Government agencies. The score is also used by many Public Sector Undertakings for employment screening purposes.
GATE 2016: Result
The GATE 2016 results were released on 27 March 2016 at 9:30 pm. The total of 10,33,625 candidates have registered for GATE 2016 and 8,89,156 candidates (86.02%) have appeared for the exam. Out of the total candidates registered, 30.17 % are female candidates while the rest are male candidates and others. It was first the time that 3 hour GATE 2016 examination was held through computer based ONLINE mode for all the 22 papers. On the basis of qualified marks, ,49,694 (16.84%) candidates will be receiving the scorecards in GATE 2016. Candidate can check their result through the link mentioned above.
Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and seven Indian Institutes of Technology on behalf of the National Coordinating Board – GATE, Department of Education, Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India has announced the result for The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering GATE - 2016 conducted between 1st February and 2nd March 2016.
