The GATE 2016 Score Card  will be available to the candidates only after the announcement of the GATE 2016 Result. Candidates can know the scores they have obtained in the GATE 2016 Exam. The Scores printed on the GATE 2016 Score Card will be valid for three years.  Check the details below.

GATE 2016 Score Card Details are as follows:

• After the declaration of the results, a GATE Scorecard will be issued to all the candidates who have appeared for their respective chosen GATE paper
• The Score Card for GATE 2016 will be awarded to those candidates as follows:
   All SC/ST/PwD candidates whose marks are greater than or equal to the qualifying mark of SC/ST/PwD candidates in their respective papers
  All other candidates whose marks are greater than or equal to the qualifying mark of OBC candidates in their respective papers
• GATE Score Cards has to be downloaded by the candidates from March 27 to May 29, 2016.
• Note: There is no provision for the issue of Additional GATE scorecard

Formula to Calculate GATE 2016 Score:

From 2016 onwards, the GATE score of a candidate is being computed using the formula given below.

S = Sq + (St−Sq)   M  − Mq /   Mt  -  Mq

Symbol Significance	Denoting
S	GATE Score (normalized) of a candidate,
M	Marks obtained by a candidate in a paper,
Mq	Qualifying Marks for general category candidates in the paper,
____                                          Mt	Average Marks of top 0.1% or 10 of the candidates (whichever is higher) who appeared in the paper,
St	GATE Score assigned to Mt,
Sq	GATE Score assigned to Mq

Note: Mq is usually 25 marks out of 100 or μ+σ, whichever is larger.
